Buried at New Hope Baptist Church
Cemetery Fairfield, Bedford County, Tennessee
Private Haggard was one (the youngest)
of five brothers which all joined the Confederate Army. He joined first in
April 1861 and was paroled with Gen. Joe Wheeler at Greensboro, N.C. 1865.
He also "NEVER" took his oath to the union, and in doing so he
was a "TRUE REBEL."
