"Why behind enemy lines?" you might
ask...........simple: I'm northern by birth and
residence, but Southern by heart. I have several
ancestors who fought for the Confederacy, and try
my best to honor them daily. I am a member of the
Order of Robert E. Lee Ladies' Auxiliary, Georgia
Division SCV, a member of the Order of Confederate
Rose of Alabama, and UDC eligible. My husband, T
Warren is co-Heritage Officer with Mr. Dewey
Barber of Dixie Outfitters, for Camp 2022, Georgia
Division, SCV. My focus has always been on
Southern ladies and gents, and their wants and
needs in period garments and accessories. Don't
let the fact that I live in illannoy throw you,
I'm Southern to the soul.
I have sold extensively throughout the South,
and also in Europe and the UK, to reenactors of
the "Southern persuasion". I'm also honored to be
on the "Southern Products" pages of
Dixie Rising .
I kindly invite you to browse the pages of this
website. If you find something you like, that's
wonderful. If not, please feel free to contact me
with your needs and questions, and I'll do my best
to oblige.
I have 35+ years sewing experience, and have
enjoyed making period garments for the past seven
years. I do a great deal of research on period
garments, from the line drawings of Godey's and
Peterson's, to actual, authentic period garments
themselves.
The goal of Behind Enemy Lines Clothiers is my
customers' satisfaction. I invite you to be as
"hands-on" in the design of your garment as you
wish to be. This could be as simple a thing as
selecting ribbon color on underpinnings, to you
selecting your own pattern, fabrics and trims. I
prefer personal contact with my customers so
please be sure to supply me with your email
address or telephone number.
