Southern National Congress

The Southern National Congress Committee - March 18, 2006

The Southern National Congress Committee (SNCC) invites all Southerners of good character and good will to take part in the second meeting of the SNCC on Saturday, March 18, at the Henry County Administration Building in McDonough, GA, located about 45 minutes south of Atlanta. The SNCC is the convening and support organization for the Southern National Congress (SNC). The Committee first met in McDonough last March to begin the organizational support for the SNC. The second Committee meeting will continue laying the foundations for the actual Congress, the first session of which we hope will take place early in 2007.

The Southern National Congress is designed as a forum in which Southerners can come together to raise an authentic voice for the traditional liberties, culture, and welfare of the Southern people. The SNC will provide an alternative, legitimate means of expressing Southern goals, grievances, and solutions in a way that does not presently exist. The SNC will provide an antidote to the disenfranchisement of those Southerners who refuse to bow the knee to centralized, unaccountable, runaway government in Washington. Neither of the two major political parties truly represents the South’s interests or welfare. The SNC seeks to fill that void, arising from the belief that we Southerners, while seeking God’s favour and guidance, have to start taking responsibility for ourselves.

Details of the second SNCC meeting will be posted next week on the SNC website, http://www.southernnationalcongress.org, including directions to the meeting place, accommodations, and points of contacts for your State’s SNC Committee. Much planning and organizing remain to be done for the March 18 event. As these plans solidify, they will be shared with you on the SNC website. In the meanwhile, we wanted to give you as much advance notice as possible so you can make travel arrangements and plans to attend. If you are committed to the cause of the South and its heritage of ordered liberty, please join us on March 18 in McDonough, GA.
