Robert E. Lee Celebration at Capitol: January 19, 2006 This is your opportunity to remind the Georgia Legislature and Georgia Governor why their predecessors established a State Holiday to Honor Robert E. Lee. Robert E. Lee set an example of behavior that all Americans and Georgians can be proud of and one that many in our State government would do well to learn from and strive to match. We would all benefit if our State government from Governor on down tried to emulate the virtues of Robert E. Lee. Governor Perdue could certainly benefit from Robert E. Lee's strict adherence to Christian Principles and the Truth. Our State Legislature could certainly benefit from adherence to the Principles of Honesty demonstrated by Robert E. Lee. The Robert E. Lee Celebration will be at 11:30 in the Capitol. For those participating the March to the Capitol plan to assemble by 10:00 AM.Parking arrangements and speakers to be announced by the Georgia Division, Sons of Confederate Veterans.
