Buried at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery

Private Haggard was one (the youngest) of five brothers which all joined the Confederate Army. He joined first in April 1861 and was paroled with Gen. Joe Wheeler at Greensboro, N.C. 1865. He also "NEVER" took his oath to the union, and in doing so he was a "TRUE REBEL" to his end. Another reason I'm proud of him.
