Major Gen. Joseph Brevard Kershaw of Camden, SC.
He was one of General Lee's most reliable brigade commanders under Longstreet (Kershaw's Brigade). He started as the Colonel of the 2nd SC Volunteer Regiment
(Fort Sumter). When the Army of Northern Virginia was re-organizied in 1862, he became a Brigade Commander. He became a Division Commander for the same army after the Battle of
the Wilderness. He was captured at Saylor's Creek during the army's retreat from Richmond in 1865. A complete link to his biography can be
